Proficiency Testing
The need for quality assurance in laboratory performance is essential not only for the laboratories themselves and their clients but also for other stakeholders, such as regulatory authorities (ARPA), laboratory accreditation bodies (ACCREDIA), and other organizations that set standards regarding the general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.
The European Accreditation Organization (EA) recommends increasingly including such activities and their results in the demonstration of competencies.
Proficiency Testing (PT) can be considered one of these quality assurance programs.
TCR Tecora® regards the role of PT provider as important in demonstrating the ongoing performance of laboratories conducting sampling and analysis in the field of Air Quality.
