EPA method 23 Dioxins and Furans, respect all requirements of US EPA official document. The EPA method 23 is applicable to the determination of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDD’s) and polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDF’s) from stationary sources.
Basically composed by a standard method 5 with the same heated box with glass filter holder. On the output of it is connected a gas condenser and a XAD absorbent module, cooled from ISOFROST 3. This cooling system is the last state of the art about efficiency on liquid temperature control.
As mentioned in the method (2.1.3):
“Water Bath. Thermostatically controlled to maintain the gas temperature exiting the condenser at <20 °C (68 °F).”
ISOFROST 3 has a sensor that monitor the temperature of the gas at the condenser output. This signal is used to adjust the cooling liquid temperature to have absolute certainty that in this zone the temperature limit (>20 °c) is respected.
Another advantage of ISOFROST 3 is that is not mechanically connected to the filter heated box but placed on the ground. This means amazing handling, excellent portability and installation of sampling train in restricted area.
